Stay close, stay private

You're closer than you think.

Small World nudges you when someone you care about happens to be nearby — and never shows anyone your exact spot unless you share it.

Someone's nearby 👀Wave hi — you'll see who once they wave back

Who it's for

For the friends you keep meaning to see.

You know the ones. You like them enormously. You've said “we should get coffee” four times this year. Then you both happen to be in the same part of town on a Tuesday and neither of you has any idea.

Small World is for that Tuesday.

What happens in the video

A tiny clay town. On screen: “We should catch up sometime.” — every friend, ever.

Mia's phone says “Someone's nearby 👀”. She waves. Leo, on a park bench, sees “Someone waved at you” and waves back. Both phones say “Small world — you and Leo both waved 🎉”, and they meet for coffee.

The voice-over: “Small World stays quiet… until someone you like is close by. Curious? Send a wave. If they wave back… you both find out who. No tracking. No trail. Just the world, being small.”

It ends on: Small World. You're closer than you think. Bring the friend you keep meaning to see. This video is AI. The friends you'll bump into aren't.

How it works

Three steps, then forget about it.

  1. Step 1

Connect with people you actually know

Send a link or scan a code. There's no directory, no strangers, no follower count. Only people you've both agreed to.

  2. Step 2

Choose how close you let them in

Pick a level for each person. It decides how near they have to be before it's worth telling you.

  3. Step 3

    Wave, then find out who

When you're closer than usual, you both get a quiet nudge. Wave if you're curious. If they wave back, you both see who it is.

Levels

Five degrees of “come say hi”.

Every connection sits at a level you pick, and you can change it whenever you like. The more private setting always wins when two people have chosen differently.

  • RemoteNo nearby alerts — only when you're travelling together.
  • CasualLight reach — for people you know but rarely see.
  • FriendBalanced reach for everyday friends.
  • CloseCloser alerts for people you're often near.
  • Inner CircleYour inner circle — alerts from farthest away.

Only you see the level you picked. Theirs is theirs.

The short version

What Small World isn’t

  • Not a tracker

No exact pin unless you share one, and no location trail. Your location is encrypted before it's stored, and Stealth mode takes you off the map.

  • Not a social network

No feed, no strangers, no numbers that go up.

  • Not an advertising business

No ads and no data brokers. We don't sell your data, and we never will.

Not a promise to behave: here's exactly what we keep, and for how long.

What we keep

Bump into the people you miss.

Quick to set up, then quiet until someone you like is close by.
